MemoryCare’s Founder Presents at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference
ASHEVILLE, NC – Dr. Margaret Noel, Founder and Director Emerita of the local non-profit MemoryCare, was invited by the Alzheimer’s Association to serve as a moderator for the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) Program, “Alzheimer’s Disease in Primary Care Settings” in Boston on July 13, 2013. Dr. Noel also presented MemoryCare’s unique model of care at the conference.
MemoryCare’s model of care integrates the support and education of caregivers with the expert medical care of cognitively impaired individuals. The organization has been widely recognized as a model program for dementia care. MemoryCare is a nonprofit because Medicare/insurance does not cover the comprehensive services provided.
