Eric is a certified genetic counselor at Fullerton Genetics Center. There, he facilitates genetic testing for, and conversations about, familial risks for disease such as cancer, heart disease, and autism spectrum disorder. He has taken a particular interest in dementia and the complex relationship between genetic and environmental influences on someone’s risk. Eric has spent time doing benchtop research on the genetics of dementia, and uses that background to aid in his counseling of families affected by these same conditions. He received his masters of medical science in genetic counseling from Emory University and has been living in Asheville since 2021.
